For gamers old enough, the name Test Drive brings back a series of good memories. The original Test Drive is a classic in the series, as well as the free-roaming capabilities of Test Drive III. A long time has passed, and now we look at the ninth game of the series, named Test Drive Unlimited. This is a whole revolution for the series, considering its immediate predecessors. The game is set in an island modeled as close as possible to the Hawaiian island of Oahu. The main urban area, Honolulu, is also modeled partially. In the game, you are able to drive on the roads, or off-road anywhere in the island. Performing a series of challenges (usually, they require to drive fast) and racing other street racers, the player can get around 125 licensed cars and motorcycles. Although the motorcycles do not feel like the real ones, they are still fun to drive. The amount of cars and the selections are pretty amazing for a car fan; you won't be able to choose only one. The game also includes a very stable multi-player mode as well. The main downside of the game are the problems related to Windows Vista, although most have been fixed. If you are a petrol-head or a racing nut, this will be a nice selection for your game library.
